Rosacea Laser Treatment

Most of the people suffer from rosacea in their middle ages. The observable features of the Rosacea are facial redness, flushing and visible blood vessels. Red bumps, pimples, thickening of the skin, eye infection and uneven swelling on the face are the common symptoms of Rosacea. The origins of this disease are uncertain. However, some of the expected factors include bacterial migration, chemical exposures, sun damages, neurovascular disease, and rough oil glands. It can also appear on the ears, scalp, back and neck. Although, there are very rare treatments on this disease, Rosacea laser treatment is one of the most successful treatments for it.

The Rosacea laser treatment of various vascular scratches uses the theory of selective thermolysis. During this treatment, the force of the lasers is targeted at the vessels or some times more particularly at the clusters of vessels that induce scratches. In this non-invasive way, selective annihilation of the scratches is done and collateral harm to the neighboring skin is minimized.

The requirement for anesthesia during Rosacea laser treatment depends on the ache threshold of the tolerant and the size of the scratch. While treating with the Rosacea laser treatment, most of the surgeons focus on two major types of lesions including Telangiectasias and Flushing and Facial Redness.

The laser treatment can be performed on almost any skin face. However, care must be taken to protect eyes from the laser. Most surgeons provide goggles and metal eye protectors to patients. Three types of lasers are used for vascular lesions such as pulsed dye laser, green laser, and intense pulsed light source.

The Telangiectasias are small size linear blood vessels, which come out on the outside of the skin. Common areas where these scratches come out are the cheeks and face, mainly near the nostrils. The telangiectasias are common in people, who are suffering from the sun-damaged skin. The nasal vessels are more challenging to the treatment; therefore, pulsed green lasers are used efficiently to cure this disease.

Flushing and facial redness are the key characteristics of Rosacea. These can be treated with a pulsed-dye laser. Many treatments are needed to cure this disease completely. According to some experts, patients who are treated vehemently can really respond positively. Patients should take some preoperative care before Rosacea laser treatment. They should evade too much tanning. Use of the anesthetic cream is required before 30-60 minutes to the treatment. The anesthetic creams should be removed from the skin immediately before the treatment.

In the pulsed dye laser, treatment short-term color changes can come out in around 10% of patients. Swelling is rare but can occur if superior flounce is used. Crusting also occurs in 20% of the patients during this treatment. Rosacea laser treatment is probably one of the most effective treatments for Rosacea.
