The dermatologist prescribes the dosage required by the rosacea sufferer after analyzing the severity of the symptoms. Regular use of antibiotics prescribed by the physician is essential. Some of the oral antibiotics such as tetracycline should be taken in empty stomach.

Electro surgery is yet other important treatment for rosacea. The electro surgery treatment is given with the help of low powered electric current that burns the visible blood vessels in facial skin. Though this Rosacea treatment is safe, it causes little pain or discomfort to the patient.

Intense light and laser therapy is yet another treatment given to cure Rosacea symptoms. It uses multiple wavelengths of light to treat visible blood vessels in the face. The treatment provides pinch like feeling or snap of an elastic band. However the pain is relatively less than the electro surgery method. The patient needs to get this treatment regularly as prescribed by the dermatologist.

Treatment for rosacea cannot eradicate the disease fully but can reduce or cure the impact caused by the disorder.
